Wooden decks and structures attached to the exterior of a building provide aesthetic, recreational and resale value to residential and commercial properties. However wooden structures attached directly to a building can trap water and debris, which may enable water intrusion and eventually lead to costly repairs.

In order to preserve the beauty and function of an exterior wood structure and eliminate potential damage, it is necessary to provide a “space” between the structure and the building.

The “Off the Wall” Deck Spacer alleviates moisture and foreign debris buildup between the structure and a wood member – such as between a deck ledger and the house siding by providing the needed space between any wood member and the supporting structure. This allows water to drain and prevents the buildup of debris.
