Lay out your joists that will interfere with the mounting bolt locations. |

|
Flip the ledger and mount your Off The Wall Spacers with screws
or nails at the locations specified by your engineer or architect. |

|
|

|
|
|
|
|
| 3) |
|
When necessary cut down your Off The Wall Spacers on the provided
cut lines to accommodate 2” x 6” and 2” x 8” ledgers. |
|
|
|
| 4) |
|
Drill the mounting bolt holes through the bolt channel of your spacers
and through the ledger. |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
|
|
| 5) |
|
Hold the ledger in place and use these pilot holes to drill into the structure. |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
|
|
| 6) |
|
Secure the ledger to the structure with the bolts specified by your engineer or architect. |

Notes:
Make sure to use hot dipped galvanized or stainless screws,
nails and mounting bolts when using pressure treated lumber.
Although your Off The Wall Spacers were designed to accommodate mounting
bolts up to 5/8” in diameter you should always use the mounting bolts specified by your engineer or architect. |
